Ronald Lee Prose, son of Mrs. Ina Prose and the late Clarence Prose, was born in Kansas City, Mo., Dec. 19, 1938, and died in the Netherlands on Nov. 23, 1958, at the age of 19 years.
He moved with his parents to St. Louis when quite small, where he lived until Feb. 1956 when he enlisted in the U.S.A.F. At the time of his death he was an Airman. He had been located in the Netherlands for some time and expected to be home in December of this year.
He attended grade school and high school in Houston and St. Louis and was finishing his high school work while in the service of his country.
He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Ina Prose, of St. Louis; the maternal grandparents Otto Lay of Houston and Addie Lay of Rolla and a number of other relatives.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at Steely Chapel in Elk Creek with Mrs. Ray Miles officiating. Burial, with Military Honors by a Fort Wood detachment, was in the church cemetery.
