Sherman W. Boster, 85, son of Reuben and Ollie Aldridge Boster, was born Feb. 21, 1916, at Tyrone. He died April 22, 2001, at Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston following a lengthy illness.
He spent his lifetime in the Tyrone community, where he was a dairy farmer. He lived there as long as his health permitted.
He loved the land, the outdoors, gardening, flowers and God's nature. He was an avid fisherman, spending much of his spare time on a stream or river.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers and one sister.
Surviving is a brother, Walter of Houston.
Services were April 24 at the Evans Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kendall Ford officiating. Burial was in the Tyrone Cemetery.
