Miss Eva, the 18 year old daughter of William Jefferson and Judith Ann Frances (Fanny)Bacon Burris, died at the home of her parents at Tuscumbia last Saturday morning at 7 o'clock, after an illness of several weeks. She was well known here, having frequently visted the family of her uncle, Willis Burris, at this place, and was a most popular and highly esteemed young lady.
Quite a number from Olean went down Sunday to attend the funeral services which were held Sunday morning at 9
o'clock at the Presbyterian church. The remains were interred in the family graveyard at Tuscumbia. We join the large circle of friends in extending sympathy and condolence to the grief stricken parents in their sad hour.
