Obituary:
Death of Mrs. Heacker
Mrs. Martha E. Heacker died yesterday morning at 8:34 o'clock at her residence, 230 East Division street, after a lingering illness, aged 40 years. She was the wife of F. A. Heacker, the well known proprietor of the Northwestern Cigar Factory, and leaves three children, the youngest being 4 years old. She was born October 6, 1853 in Henry county, Mo., and reared in Christian county. She removed with her mother to Springfield in 1870, and was married to Mr. Heacker in 1873. She has been a member of the Christian Church from her early youth, and possessed all the qualities admirable in womanhood. Her family have the sympathy of the entire community in their bereavement.
The funeral services will take place at the late residence at 1 p.m. today, and the interment will be made in Maple Park Cemetery at 3 p.m.
