Services were held November 6 for William R. "Uncle Bill" Collins, a retired cotton gin fireman. Mr. Collins died November 3 at the age of 78 years, 10 months and 2 days of age.
Mr. Collins was born December 31, 1881 in Brookpart, Ill., and died at Kennett Memorial Hospital.
Services were held at German Funeral Home in Chapel at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Gene Leach of Gideon officiating. Interment was in Mt. Zion Cemetery with German Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Bertha German of Malden; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
