Donnie Jess Burris, age 48, of Marceline, died Sunday, June 9, 2013 at his home. Donnie was born at Brookfield, Missouri on April 30, 1965 to Ronnie and Alma (Hepworth) Burris.
Donnie was a member of the Bethany Baptist Church in Marceline and a Marceline resident all his life.
He is survived by his mother and step-father, Alma Evans and Lewis, Marceline; four brothers, Gene, Randy, and Ricky Burris, all of Marceline; and Mike Burris, Denver, CO; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Ronnie, two sisters, Mary Burris and Christina Marie Burris, one niece Mary Burris, and maternal and paternal grandparents.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at Delaney Funeral Home in Marceline with Rev. David Gouge officiating. Burial will be in the Masonic Cemetery, Bucklin. Visitation will be held from 11 A.M. until time of services Wednesday at the funeral home in Marceline. Memorials may be made to Bethany Baptist Church Building Fund and these may be left at or mailed to Delaney Funeral Home 1720 N. Missouri Ave., Marceline, MO 64658.
