Funeral services for Vetoe Harris, a former resident of Holland, were held Tuesday, November 16, 1982, at 2:00 p.m. in the German-Aumon funeral Home Chapel in Steele. Rev. David Hart officiated.
Mr. Harris was born January 20, 1914 in Spruce Pine, Alabama, and died November 14, 1982 at the Boone Medical Center in Columbia, Missouri at 68.
He was a veteran of World War II.
He leaves his wife, Virginia Harris, of the home in Wright City, Missouri; two sons: Luther Harris of Wright City, and James Harris, of Arnold, Missouri; two sisters: Mrs. Ova Mays of Phil Campbell, Alabama, and Mrs. Lee Harness of Bakersfield, California; one brother, J.D. Harris of Wilmington, Nevada; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Larry Harris, Joe Harris, Gardner Norrid, Nathan Harris, John Helvey, and Clail Jackson.
Burial was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery with the German-Aumon Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
