Services were held Friday, November 1, 1963, at 2:00 p.m. for C.F. Ketchum, one of the community's best known farmers. Mr. Ketchum was born in Steele January 30, 1895, and died at the Pemiscot County Memorial Hospital in Hayti on October 30, 1963.
Funeral services were conducted at the Church of Christ in Steele, by Bro. C.H. Welbourn of Hayti and Bro. Dudley Spears of Blytheville.
Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery, John W. German Mt. Zion Chapel in charge.
Mr. Ketchum leaves his wife, Mrs. Linnie Ketchum; three sons, Herbert and Ralph of Steele and Harold of Blytheville; a daughter, Mrs. Hollis Wimberley of Fort Smith, Ark.; and eleven grandchildren.
Pallbearers were: W.D. Whitfield, Hobert Poteet, Paul Fullerton, Chester Barnes, Charles Pritchard and Paul Cooper.
