James Eugene Dearduff, age 79, of Frankford, passed away November 2, 2014 at his home.

Graveside services will be held 1:30 p.m., November 7, 2014 at the Fairview Cemetery in Frankford with Pastor Michael Neff and Assoc. Pastor Ray Davis officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00 -1:00 p.m. Friday, November 7, 2014 at the Mudd-Veach Funeral Home in Bowling Green.

James was born March 22, 1935 in Rockport, IL the son of James Everett and Mary Helen Burkhead Dearduff. On May 2, 1987 in Las Vegas he married Diane Dunlap. She survives. Other survivors include son James Dearduff of GA; two step - sons Michael Sheedy of Las Vegas, NV and Greg Schehl of CA; three daughters Jean Clark of St. Joseph, Rhonda Remley of Laddonia, and Lori Brown of AL; two step-daughters Tammy Smith of Montana and Tiffany Cephus of CO; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and sister Bertha Fox of Hamburg, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents; son Galen Dearduff; two brothers Charles and Bill Dearduff; sister Norma Slater and an Uncle Frank Burkhead.

James lived in several states and moved to Frankford in 1995. He attended Tabernacle of Praise Church in Hannibal. James worked at Bowling Green Equipment as a mechanic from 1995 to 2004. He enjoyed working on old cars and tractors, hosting fish fry’s, fishing, his dogs, working with wood and ceramics and most of all he just enjoyed visiting with people.

Serving as pallbearers will be Greg Schehl, Paul Speagle, Brad Fox, Doug Fox, Rob Jennings and David Jennings.
