Franklin M. Stone, 75 of Cabool, MO passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2015. He was born on July 21, 1940 in Hamilton County, North Florida the son of John Marvin and Marjorie Mary (Stalvey) Stone. He attended Dixie Hollins Vocational High School and took auto mechanics at Tomlison Vocational School.
Franklin was baptized in June of 1955. He lived in St. Petersburg, FL for many years where he met Patricia. They were united in marriage on June 24, 1961. In October 1962 they moved to Houston, TX where he worked for St. Regis Paper Company until returning to St. Petersburg in July of 1967 and went to work for his father as a carpet installer. Their daughter, Monica was born on April 10, 1970 and in 1979 they moved to a farm in Elk Creek, MO. He went to work at Hunter Oil Company in 1994 driving a truck until after a stroke in 1999 he began working on the fuel dock for the next 11 years. He always enjoyed fishing, hunting, reading his favorite author Zane Grey and especially spending time with family.
Franklin was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Johnnie. He is survived by his wife, Patricia of the home; his daughter, Monica Robertson and husband, Donald; grandson, Shane all of Springfield, MO and a sister, Marlena Yates of St. Petersburg, FL. He will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved him. [egcfuneralhome.com]
