William (Bill) George Bondurant age 92 of Warrensburg, MO formerly of Kirksville, MO passed away Monday August 1, 2011 at the Missouri Veterans Home in Warrensburg, MO. Bill was born on April 29, 1919 in Kirksville the son of William Pearl and Georgia Stokes Bondurant. On October 3, 1943 in Morgantown, West Virginia he was united in marriage to Leila Ruth Mulford who preceded him in death on April 26, 2002. He was also preceded in death by his parents and two sisters Nadine Wilson and Geraldine Bartlett. Bill is survived by one son David Wilson Bondurant and wife Judy of Colorado Springs, CO; one daughter Ann Elaone Graff and husband Steve of Sedalia, MO; four grandchildren Jacob Graff of Sedalia, MO, Erin Graff of Portland, OR, Matthew Bondurant of Superior, CO and Erik Bondurant of Colorado Springs, CO and seven great grandchildren. Bill was reared in Kirksville where he attended the Kirksville schools and graduated from Kirksville Senior High School. He attended Kirksville Teachers College (now Truman University)and received his bachelor's degree. He served in the U.S.Army during WWII and the Korean Conflict with the Transportation Corp. He owned operated the family business the Palace Bakery for several years. After that he operated a Royal Crown and Dr. Pepper distributorship. He later became employed at Kirdsville College of Osteopathic Medicine as administer of Rural Clinics until his retirement in 1982. He receied his realtor's license and was employed with the Whitney Century 21 agency retiring in 2002. He was an avid bowler, golfer and enjoyed traveling with his wife.

A funeral srvice will be held at 11 am Saturday August 6, 2011 at the Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home with Reverend Steve Graff officiating. Interment with Military rites will be at the Maple Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Friday August 5, 2011 at the funeral home. Those who wish can express their sympathy in the form of a contribution to the First United Methodist Church of Kirksville or Center for Human Service in Sedalia.
