July 11, 1917 - May 4, 1978
Funeral services for Ray Willard Iaiser, 60, of Arvada, Colo., formerly of Kirksville, will be held Wednesday afternoon (May 10, 1978) at 2 o'clock in the Foster Memorial Home. Elder Clyde O. Johnson of Green Castle will conduct the services. Burial will be in Maple Hills cemetery.
Mr. Iaiser died unexpectedly Thursday evening (May 4, 1978) in the St. Anthony Central Hospital in Denver, Colo., where he had been a patient only a short time.
Mr. Iaiser was born in Kirksville on July 11, 1917. On October 11, 1941 at Kirksville, he married Freda L. Roberts who survives. Also surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Andrew (Marilyn Kaye) Cody of Bronx, N.Y., Mrs. Kevin (Linda Raye) Phelps of Longmont, Colo., Mrs. Robert (Brenda Sue) Edwards of Denver, Colo., and Mrs. Mark (Deborah Jo) Anderson of Denver, Colo.; six grandchildren; one aunt, Mary Iaiser of 1015 W. Smith; four half-brothers, and six half-sisters.
Mr. Iaiser resided for many years in Kirksville, where he was employed with Riley's 7 to 9 Market. In 1961 he moved to Colo., where he was employed with King Sooper grocery stores until his death.
During World War II, Mr. Iasier [sic] served with the United States Army in the South Pacific for 42 months.
Bearers will be: Kenneth Pickett, John Brummitt, Gene Pickett, Terrill Rigdon, Carroll Williams and Marvin Collop.
