Graveside services for Michael Leslie Girdley, 50, Mtn. View, Mo., will be at 10 a.m. Monday, May 19, 2008, in the Veterans Section, Howell Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mr. Girdley died 12:20 p.m. Thursday, May 15, 2008, at his home. He was born June 24, 1957, in Fairbanks, Alaska, to Kenneth Edward and Mamie Ruth Sheets Girdley.
On July 4, 1979, he was married in Germany to Silvia Weber.
Mr. Girdley was a veteran having served with the U.S. Army. He loved hunting and fishing.
He is survived by two children, Jeremiah Girdley, wife, Amber, Centerton, Ark., and Kennet Renfroe, husband, Johnny, Van Buren, Ark.; one grandchild, Garrett Girdley; the mother of his children, Silvia Girdley; his father, Kenneth Girdley, wife, Betty Sue, West Plains; four brothers, Bruce Girdley, wife, Sharon, Scott Girdley, wife, Sarah, Kevin Girdley, wife, Jennifer, and Larry Girdley, wife, Tracy; and several nieces and nephews.
His mother preceded him in death.
Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Sunday at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Charity of Choice and left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
