Funeral services for George Arthur Mulford Jr., 88, West Plains, were Tuesday, June 1, 2010, in the Rose Chapel, Robertson-Drago Funeral Home with Dr. Frank Mulford and Rev. George Mulford officiating. Mr. Mulford peacefully graduated to heaven at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, May 27, 2010, at Ozarks Medical Center. He was born on Jan. 1, 1922 at Brockton, Mass. He was married to Nancy Theresa Fedell, who preceded him in death on March 18, 1966. Mr. Mulford was a member of Central Calvary Baptist Church. He served his country during World War II in the branches of the United States Navy, Coast Guard and Merchant Marines from 1941 to 1948 as a staff officer. He is survived by his children, Reverend George Mulford III, wife, Kathy, of Fruitland Park, Fla., Dr. Frank Mulford, wife, Mary, of West Plains, and Mary Sutherland, husband, Ben, of Fruitport, Mich.; 13 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. His parents, three sisters, and two brothers precede him in death. Burial was at Howell Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Central Calvary Baptist Church, and left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
