Homer Burton, 61, a native of Pemiscot County died at Kansas City last Thursday, August 18, and funeral services were held at the LaForge Funeral Home chapel Monday afternoon. The Rev. Howard Ray officiated and burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery at Steele.
Mr. Burton was born at Holland August 29, 1905, the son of Ocie and Fanny Long Burton. He had lived in Kansas City for several years and was employed as a truck driver.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Mildred Burton of Kansas City, four brothers, Lemmie Burton of East St. Louis, Ill., Utree Burton of Steele, R.O. Burton of El Dorado, Ark. and Leonard Burton of Memphis, and one sister, Mrs. Macel Hall of Osceola, Ark.
