Funeral services for Harry H. Sorg, III, 67,West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 7, 2014 in the Rose Chapel, Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mr. Sorg died 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 1, 2014 at West Vue Nursing Center. He was born September 25, 1946 at Joplin, Missouri to Harry H. Sorg, Jr. and Christine Dean Sorg. On January 16, 1993, he was married at Washington, Missouri to Linda West Hedges. Mr. Sorg was a veteran having served with the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a long time banker having served forty-six years in the banking business retiring from the Bank of Thayer on September 30, 2011. Mr. Sorg had been a member of the Optimist Club and was a member and past president of the Kiwanis Club.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Sorg, of the family home; three children, Adam Sorg, wife, Trish and children, Skyler, Lilli and Bubbi, Jennifer Harmon, husband, Jimmy and children, Alisha and Carissa and Lisa Sorg and children, Christopher and Dylan; two brothers, Michael Sorg, wife, Martha and David Sorg, wife, Theresa; three sisters, Deborah Danner, husband, Todd, Kathy Sorg and Cheryl Hoyer, husband, Gene; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins and many friends.
His parents and sister-in-law, Carrol Sorg, precede him in death.
Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, March 6th, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Veterans Section at Howell Memorial Park Cemetery, In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Boys and Girls Club of West Plains and left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
