STEELE, Mo.--J. Edgar German, aged 47 years, died at his home near this city Saturday after a prolonged illness. Mr. German was a member of one of the prominent families of this community and was born and reared here. He was a member of the Steele School Board and an active member of the Methodist Church.
Funeral services were held at the Methodist Church Sunday afternoon at two o'clock. The Rev. M.A. Massey, pastor of the Church, conducted the service. Interment was made in Mt. Zion cemetery. Pallbearers were T.W. Whitfield, J.L. Whitfield, Frankie B. Holloman, T.A. Haggard, C.E. Miller and Fred Kelley.
Mr. German was preceeded in death by his wife eight months ago. He is survived by one daughter, Miss Buetta, two sons, J.B. and Tommie, and his parents, all of Steele.
