Thomas H. Ausburn, retired farmer, of west of Steele, died at the age of 80 March 12, 1961.

Mr. Ausburn was born April 3, 1880 in West Point, Arkansas, the son of John and Emma Ausburn.

He was visiting in Shreveport, La., at the time of his death.

Bro. Don Davidson of Kennett officiated at the Jehovah's Witness service held March 14 at 2:00 p.m. at German Funeral Home Chapel in Steele.

Interment was in Mount Zion Cemetery, German Funeral Home of Steele in charge.

Pallbearers were J.D. Cooper, L.C. McCann, Earnest Aronson, Leon Howard, Vurnie Russell, and Mack McClearen.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Emma Ausburn; two sons: Vernon of Holland; and Charles Ausburn of California; eight daughters: Mrs. Viola Mays of Nashville; Mrs. Gladys Mosley of Steele; Mrs. Carrie Quinn, California; Mrs. Minnie Bolton and Mrs. Marjorie Shipley, both of Steele; Mrs. Lois Fondren of Houghton, La.; Mrs. Iona Bokori and Mrs. Agnes Custer, East Chicago, Ind.; and 29 grandchildren. He is also survived by 23 great-grandchildren; four brothers: George, W.D. and Sammy and a sister, Mrs. Annie Ridings
