Married Sarah Ann Moses, and they were the parents of five children: William Walter "Bill"; Edward Richard "Ed"; Janie Bell; Ella Sue; and Archie Read.
(Sarah Ann Moses Hicks is buried in the Galatia Cemetery, near Norfork, Baxter County, Arkansas.)
