Jackie Junior Hatley, 44, of Steele, died Thursday, September 16, 1999, at the Pemiscot County Memorial Hospital in Hayti. He was born on Sunday, August 7, 1955, in Hayti, the son of the late Gorden Jack Hatley and Juanita (Joyner) Hatley.
Hatley was a Baptist and a truck driver employed by TCB Express. He was married to Linda (Meador) Hatley.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Hatley of Blytheville, Ark.; a fiance, Contessa Crawford of Steele; a stepdaughter, Crystal Thacker of Caruthersville; three cousins, Edmond Hatley and Jerry Hatley, both of Steele, and Patty Graves of Hattiesburg, Miss.; a son, Jamie Simmons of Hayti; fiance's children and two grandchildren.
Services were held graveside at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele, on Tuesday, September 21, 1999, 2 p.m., with Rev. Michael Funderburk officiating.
