Austin L. Edwards, age 17, of Nixa, Missouri, passed away suddenly July 26, 2010. He was born May 14, 1993, the son of Randal Lee and Tracey (Carver) Edwards in Springfield, Missouri.
He dearly loved his family and friends. He was an upcoming at Nixa High School. He was an avid football player and weight lifter. He attended both the First Baptist Church of Kimberling City and Redeemer Lutheran Church in Springfield. He recently pre-enlisted to enter the United States Marines Corps following his graduation from high school.
He is survived by his father and step-mother Randy and Julia Edwards of Reeds Spring; his mother and step-father Tracey and Dave Buescher of Nixa; one brother, Dalton Edwards of Nixa; a step-brother, Dakota Tapp, of Reeds Spring; a step-brother and step-sister Phillip and Courtney Buescher of Fenton, Missouri; maternal grandmother Jackie Carver of Bunceton, Missouri; paternal grandfather Leroy Edwards of Reeds Spring; paternal grandmother Glenda Hawkins and husband Ed of Reeds Spring; aunts and uncles, Tom Carver with wife Theresa and children Starr and Karys, Teresa Dahms with husband Steve and child Sarah, Todd Carver with wife Kellie and children Tyler, Garrett, and Hunter, Tami Held with husband Steve and children Courtney and Kyle, Rhonda Braker with husband Ken and children Reagan and Riley.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather Joe Carver.
Funeral services will be at 10 AM Friday, July 30 at Nixa First Assembly of God Church, 113 W. Mt. Vernon St, Nixa burial will follow in McConnell~Bledsoe Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-8 PM July 29 at Nixa First Assembly of God Church. In lieu of flowers, family requests memorial donations may be made to the Liberty Bank or at the Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.
