Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at the German Undertaking Co. Chapel for Charles Edward Damon who died early Monday morning at the home of his son, Guy, in Steele. Rev. J. W. Cunningham, pastor of the Baptist Church, conducted the services. Burial was made in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Charles Damon was born March 18, 1868, in Hamilton County, Illinois, and died February 10, 1941, at the age of 72 years, 10 months and 20 days.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Janie Damon, two sons, Albert of Paragould, Ark., and Guy, of Steele, and several grandchildren. He made his home with his son, Guy, and will be sadly missed by his many relatives and friends.
