PVT US ARMY WORLD WAR II
Funeral services were held November 23 1979 at the John W. German Funeral Home in Steele for Jerome W. (Jerry) Fenwick, 61. Rev. Joe Smith officiated.
Mr. Fenwick was born March 28, 1918 at Fulton, Ky. and died November 21, 1979 at River Oaks Nursing Home in Steele. He was employed as a Security Guard at Shelby County Penal Farm in Memphis, Tenn. until his retirement. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of Tyler Baptist Church.
Mr. Fenwick was united in marriage to Eva Blankenship Hopper at Hernando, Miss.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Eva H. Fenwick of Cooter and a niece, Mrs. Reginald Watkins of Steele. Pallbearers were Clarence Poteet, Reginald Watkins, Johnny Jumper, Virgil Flowers, Kenneth Holmes and William Barger.
Burial was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery at Steele with the John W. German Funeral Home of Steele in charge of arrangements.
