Funeral service was held November 9, 1968 at the Methodist Church in Steele for Lee B. Cunningham, 80. Mr. Cunningham died November 7, 1968 at Pemiscot County Memorial Hospital in Hayti.
Born September 23, 1888, in Melvin, Ark., he had made his home in the Steele area for the past 17 years.
He was united in marriage to Minnie Crawford on December 3, 1951 at Blytheville, Ark.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Minnie Cunningham of Steele; two step-sons, C.M. "Buddy" Crawford of Jackson, Tenn., and Elmer Crawford, of Houston, Tex.; two step-daughters, Mrs. Pearl Knight of San Diego, Calif., and Mrs. Austin Pfeffer of Steele; two sisters, Mrs. Lillian Terry of Memphis and Mrs. Maud Baker of Memphis; also one niece, Mrs. Ruby Shult of Memphis, and three grandchildren.
Pallbearers were W.R. Turner, Clyan Larue, Olan Johnson, Roscoe Bishop, Rupert Pritchard, and Roy Blocker.
Burial was at Mt. Zion Cemetery with the John W. German Funeral Home of Steele in charge of arrangements.
