Larry Alan Boggan, 55, of Steele passed away Saturday, May 27, 2017, in Blytheville, Ark. He was born July 7, 1961, in Falls Church, Va., to the late Martin L. Boggan and Peggy Blizzard Boggan. He graduated from Treadwell High School in Memphis, Tenn. He worked for many years for Terry Smith and was currently working for Steven Henley. He enjoyed working at the carwash, riding motorcycles and spending time with his kids and grandkids,
Mr. Boggan was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Gracie Ann Pleasant.
Survivors of Mr. Boggan include his wife, Deloris Pleasant of Steele; children, Christopher Boggan of Memphis, Tenn., Erica Pleasant of Steele, Samantha Duda of Hayti, Mo., Peggy Pleasant of Steele and Summer Boggan of Steele; one brother, Paul R. Boggan Sr., and wife Patricia of Marion, Ark., and 12 grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mr. Boggan were held at 12 noon Wednesday, May 31 at Powell Funeral Home with Rev. Jeremy Damesworth officiating. Interment followed at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele. Visitation was held from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Pallbearers were Marvin Bivins, Randy Trimm, Eddie Miller, Josh Duda, Carl Barnard and Josh Lancaster.
Powell Funeral Home of Steele was in charge of arrangements.
