Cassville Democrat, May 10, 1919 - Dow Ennis, old time and well known retired farmer, residing near Mineral Springs, passed away Monday night, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Sam Hall, of near Cassville, following an extended illness. Mr. Ennis was 87 years old, and had lived almost all his life in that community. His good wife preceded him in death several years ago. He is survived by two children, Mrs. Sam Hall and a son, Martie, both of near this city. He was well and favorably known throughout this section and had many friends. He was a brother of the late Rev. J. W. Ennis and Willis, who died several months ago, and is the last of that family. Funeral services were conducted at the Oak Ridge Methodist church, yesterday afternoon, after which burial was in the cemetery there beside his wife.
