William "Bill" Harvey White, 68, of Butterfield, Missouri passed away on Friday, October 14, 2011 at Red Rose Health and Rehab in Cassville, Missouri. Mr. White, son of Estel and Ruth Chaffen White Jr., was born on December 28, 1942, in Jackson, Michigan. Bill grew up and received his education in Michigan. He began his career in sales and management at Pepsi-Cola at the age of sixteen. During his 26 years of service to Pepsi, he received six awards for top sales manager. He moved to the Barry County area in 1994. He was united in marriage to his best friend and love of his life, Rose Van Sandt. Together they owned and operated a lawn mowing business for eight years. Bill's enjoyment during his retirement years was fishing. He was a member of the Gunter Methodist Church in Purdy, Missouri.
Survivors include his wife, Rose Van Sandt, of Purdy, Missouri; two sons, Chuck and Rick White, of Jackson, Michigan; five daughters, Pam, Missy, Vicki, Beth, and Shelly White, all of Jackson, Michigan; step-children, Brad Van Sandt, and his wife, Vicki, of Monett, Missouri, Becky Butterworth, and her husband, Dave, of Aurora, Missouri, Tracy Dobyns, and her husband, Terry, of Purdy, Missouri and Bobbi Plopper, and her husband, Tim, of Butterfield, Missouri; several grandchildren; and one brother, David White, of Jackson, Michigan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Forbes and Ruthanne White, and one step-son, Billy Van Sandt.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 17, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the White Funeral Home in Cassville, Missouri with Brother Jerry Nickel officiating. Burial will follow at Russell Cemetery in Butterfield, Missouri. The family will receive friends from 2:00p.m. to 4:00p.m. on Sunday, October 16th at the White Funeral Home in Cassville
