HEAD SHOT OFF
FOURTEEN YEAR OLD BOY INSTANTLY KILLED
CHARLIE ASPINALL THE VICTIM
Taking His Gun From a Boat at McDaniel's Mill the Weapon was Discharged With the Above Terrible Result
Today, just a few minutes before 12 o'clock at McDaniel's Mill, two miles east of here, as Charlie Aspinall, the 14 year old son of J. A. Aspinall, of South Maple street, this city, attempted to take his fun from a boat, the weapon was discharged, the entire load taking his head, and, and instantly killing him.
In company with Joe Stebbins and Sam Staynor, Charlie Aspinall left home early this morning for a duck blind. The gun was loaded with duck shot, and the range being very short when it was discharged, the top of his head was almost entirely blown off, causing instant death.
The body was sent for this afternoon by Undertaker Knell. No inquest will be held, as the parents of the unfortunate boy are satisfied the death was accidental.
