Elmer C. "Jack" Page, 73, of Brashear, Missouri passed away Saturday September 21, 1991 n a Kirksville hospital.
Born March 10, 1918 in Adair County, he was the son of Elmer Calvin and Laura Sullivan Page. On August 1, 1940 in Carrollton, Missouri he married Gladys June Walters who survives.
Also surviving are one son, Gary Page of Paterson, Georgia; three daughters, Mrs. Dale (Dorothy) Miller of Milan, Missouri, Mrs. Francis (Joanne) Lang of Watervliet, Michigan amd Mrs. Roger (Zelda) Elmore of Kirksville, Missouri; 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Page was raised in the Yarrow community where he attended rural schools. All his married life was spent in Brashear, Missouri where he and his wife owned and operated a restaurant and grocery store for several years. Mr. Page had also been employed with the Santa Fe Railroad for over 2 years and had worked for the City of Kirksville.
He had served in the United States Army during World War II.
He was an active member of the Brashear Community Bible Church in Brashear, Missouri.
Funeral services will be held at two o'clock Tuesday afternon September 24, 1991 in the Hudson-Rimer Park View Chapel in Kirksville, Missouri. The Rev. Charles Lamason of Brashear will officiate. Burial will be in te Brashear Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be Larry Billington, Laverne Gerhold, Sidney Osborn, Jeff Lindquist, Bill Harrelson and Keith Turner.
Honorary bearers will be Delbert Howerton, Ralph Richardson, Joe Shelton and Terry Baker.
Friends may call from two until nine o'clock Monday evening September 23, 1991 with the family receiving friends from seven until nine at Hudson-Rimer Park View Chapel.
