Last Wednesday, Mr. and Mrs. French Burroughs received word of Alan Burroughs, the death of their grandson. The child was the second son of Mr. and Mrs. Glen Burroughs is engaged in educational work.
Mr. and Mrs. Burroughs and the two children were on their way to Michigan to spend their summer vacation, when they met with an auto accident which resulted in the instant death of the little boy.
The parents had the body prepared for burial and then started back home taking the little body in the car with them. After two days and two nights of almost continuous driving they reached Kirksville where funeral services were held.
The father and mother and older son, Lyle, were not seriously injured in the accident. Both the parents and the grandparents have the sympathy of their many friends here.
