John S. Graham, Jr.

Funeral services for John S. Graham, Jr., 60, of 1013 West Martha, will be held at 1:30 Thursday afternoon (June 6, 1985) in the chapel of Davis-Playle Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery.

Mr. Graham, died Thursday (May 30, 1985) in the Veterans Hospital in Columbia where he had been a patient since May 17.

The son of John S. and Donna May Williams Graham, he was born August 28, 1924, in LaPlata. At an early age, Mr. Graham moved with his parents to Kirksville. He had been employed with Rogers Trucking and Smith Brothers Soil Service. He also worked as a laborer for Pete Anesi for a number of years.

During World War II, Mr. Graham served with the United States Army in Europe and North Africa.

Surviving are his mother, of 1013 West Martha; one son, Rick Pettit of Kirksville, one daughter, Lola Graham of Novinger; one brother Norman C. Graham of Kirksville; two sisters, Mrs. George (Diania) Brown of Corpus Christi, Texas and Elizabeth Routh of Columbia and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father on August 10, 1962; one brother, Senith E. Graham, on May 10, 1970, and one infant sister, Martha May.
