Cassville Democrat, Jan. 4, 1934 - Richard Satterlee Spanish-American Veteran, Passes Suddenly at His Home On Thursday Afternoon: Richard Satterlee, a resident of Seligman for the past twelve years stepped out into his yard last Friday morning and fell dead. He suffered a attack of heart failure. He was born in Grundy County, IL April 5, 1864. He was united in marriage to Ellen Gebhart at Oakland, Calif., Aug. 7, 1926. He is survived by wife, two brothers. John Satterlee of Portland, Ore., Arthur Satterlee of Gaston, Ore., one sister, Laura Hoberstine of Gaston, Ore., and many friends to mourn his death. Funeral services were held at the home in Seligman on Friday afternoon, Dec. 29., 1933, by Rev. Chas. Vanzandt. Burial was in the New Salem cemetery, under the direction of the Blankenship Funeral Service.
