James Walter Bargfrede, age 70, died on Saturday, March 16, 2019.
Funeral service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 30, at King of Kings Lutheran Church in Kansas City, where visitation will be held from 10 a.m until noon. Interment will follow at 3:15 p.m. at St. Peters Lutheran Cemetery near Alma. Memorial contributions are suggested to King of Kings Lutheran Church.
Terrace Park Funeral Home in Kansas City is in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by his Mother, Elaine Bargfrede, his wife of 50, years, Pamela; children Dyan (Abel) Mojica, Ryan (Liz) Bargfrede, Jennifer (Neil) Thowe, grandchildren: Nathan, Henry, Conrad, Thomas, Daniel, Taylor, Jake, Ella, Owen and Faith. Siblings Richard (Mecca) Bargfrede, Rev. Patricia (Rev. Timothy) Baglien, Susan (Steve) Schreiman, Steven Bargfrede and Stuart Bargfrede. He is also survived by his beloved dog Izzie.
In addition to his father, Walter Bargfrede; James is preceded in death by his granddaughter Natalie Thowe.
