Aug. 26, 1909, Cassville Republican - Mineral Springs News: Miss Lula Peacock was buried in the Mineral Cemetery, Sunday. Lula was a kind and affectionate girl, loved by all who knew her. She was a great sufferer but bore it with patience. Funeral services were conducted by Bro. Love of Cassville. A host of friends attended the funeral to pay their last respects to Lulu.

Saturday Morning, Sarah Lucinda, daughter of W. L. Peacock of Mineral Springs passed to her home beyond this vale of misery. She was born in Fayette County, Ill. She died of consumption and leaves behind a father, stepmother, brother, and sister besides a host of friends to mourn her departure.
