Services Tuesday For Louis Brunner
Louis Brunner, 79, of St. Mary's Blvd., died at 2:45 p.m. Saturday at Boone County Hospital in Columbia. He had been ill for three years.
Mr. Brunner was born in Austria, April 18, 1881. He came to Jefferson City in 1901. In February 1913, he was married to Miss Elizabeth Mary Antweller. She died in October, 1939.
He retired in 1953 after being for a long time a contractor in the Jefferson City area.
Survivors include: Three sons, Alvin, Paul and Leonard Brunner, all of Jefferson City; two daughters, Mrs. L. F. Looten and Mrs. Jacob Lepper, Jefferson City, and Mrs. Louis Thomas, Rolla; one brother, Franz Brunner, in Austria; and eight grandchildren.
Mr. Brunner was a member of St. Peters Cathedral, the Eagles Club and LaSelette Retreat League.
The Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Monday in a local funeral home. Services will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday at St. Peter's Cathedral. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. J. A. Vogelweld will officiate with burial in St. Peter's Cemetery.
