Rites Held Saturday For Luther Gilbert
TIPTON (Special) — Services were held Saturday for Luther W. Gilbert, 83, who died Wednesday at Still Hospital, Jefferson City. Burial was in St. Andrew's Cemetery, Tipton.
Mr. Gilbert was born Oct. 6, 1877 at Tipton, the son of W. F. and Eleanor Finley Gilbert. He was married Nov. 18, 1899 to Miss Sophie Smith, who survives at the couples farm home southwest of Tipton.
Also surviving are: one daughter, Mrs. Laura Koeckner, Tipton; three sons; Frank Gilbert and Leo Gilbert of the home and Andrew Gilbert of Tipton; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
