Mrs. Effie Blankenship, 74, Cassville, died Wednesday, August 26, at South Barry County Hospital in Cassville, where she had been a patient ten days.
She was born February 23, 1896, in Barry County and had spent most of her life in the Cato community near Cassville. She was a member of the Twin Valley Baptist Church.
Survivors include four sons, Stanley Blankenship of Jenkins, Cleo Blankenship of Hollister, Mo., Troy Blankenship of Sawyer, Kansas, and Roy Blankenship of Ukiah, Calif.; a daughter, Mrs. Thelma Brigman of Purdy; 30 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Chapel in the Valley with Brother Gussie Carlson officiating.
Burial was in the Clio Cemetery under direction of Williamson's.
