Luther Stringer, 82, died at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at a nursing home here where he had been a patient several months.
Mr. Stringer was born April 26, 1890, at Monett and had resided at the home of Ralph Turpin, a nephew, for several years before moving to the nursing home. There are no immediate survivors.
Graveside services and burial were held at 1 p.m. today at the IOOF Cemetery, Monett. The Rev. Ronnie Ridenour officiated. Burial was under direction of Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home, Monett.
