LAMAR - Funeral services for Mrs. Doris E. Donalson, 72, who died at 7:05 a.m. Sunday at McCune-Brooks Hospital, Carthage, following a five year illness were held at 2 p.m. today at the Diamond Baptist Church.
The Rev. Robert Mattox and the Rev. Floyd Shewmake Jr. officiated and burial was in the Diamond Cemetery under the direction of Clark-Shewmake Funeral Home, Granby.
Born July 6, 1901, at Wentworth, she moved to Lamar in 1960 from the Diamond area.
Survivors include her husband William Donalson; two sons Walter Wilson, Tulsa, Okla.; and Herbert Wilson, Granby; two daughters Mrs. Sylvia Harper, Hampshire, ILL.; and Mrs. Eula Kyger; Granby; four stepdaughters Mrs. Viola Yonkers, Lamar; Mrs. Helen Schoop, Carthage; Mrs. Betty Lafon, Golden City; and Lois, whose last name is unknown, living in Detroit, Mich.; two brothers Wiley Burnett, Carthage; and Elbert Borg, Joplin; a sister Mrs. Alma Jones, Carthage; 10 grandchildren, nine stepgrandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
