Services Monday For Floyd Fawver

Services for Floyd E. Fawver, 78, Seligman, who died at 6:30 p.m.. Friday in St. John's Hospital, Springfield, where he had been a patient two weeks, were held at 3 p.m. Monday at Seligman Baptist Church.

The Rev. Tim Larkin and Rev. Sammy Etchison officiated. Burial was in Seligman Cemetery under the direction of Culver Funeral Home, Cassville.

Pallbearers were Clyde Mitchell, Paul Briggs, C.W. Browning, Lewis L. Poe, Donald Reed and Joe D. Roller.

Mr. Fawver was born March 17, 1893, at Seligman. He graduated from the University of Missouri, Columbia, and was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa fraternity. He was owner and operator of the Fawver Lumber Co. and at the time of his death was president of the Bank of Seligman and was the Seligman city treasurer. He was awarded recognition for 50 years of service as cooperative observer by the National Weather Bureau. He was a veteran of World War I.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Alice Fawver; two sons, Lt. Col. Robert E. Fawver, stationed at the USAF base at Tucson, Ariz., and James Orion Fawver, Racine, Wis.; two sisters, Mrs. Milt Wilmelm, and Mrs. Lois Brown, both of Seligman; and six grandchildren.
