Mrs. Edith Owings, 76, Seligman route 1, died at 11:15 a.m. Friday at St. Vincent's Hospital, Monett, where she had been a patient one week.
Mrs. Owings was born Sept. 8, 1896, in Crane. She was a member of Seligman Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Charles Owings and George Owings, both of Satanta, Kan., and John Carl Owings, Klamath Falls, Ore.; four daughters, Mrs. Hazel Rule, Burbank, Calif., Mrs. Emella Roller, Seligman, Mrs. Annabelle Ackerman, Denver, Colo., and Mrs. Clarabelle Elliott, Bartlesville, Okla.; a sister, Mrs. Myrtle Lasiter, Monett; 25 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at Culver Funeral Home, Cassville. The Rev. Fred Harris officiated. Burial was in Corinth Cemetery, near Cassville.
