Garry D. Pendergraft, 68, Neosho, entered into rest on May 12, 2018 at his home, following a year of failing health.

Garry was born July 12, 1949 in Neosho, the son of Lawrence and Ula (Jennings) Pendergraft. He graduated from Neosho High School in 1967. He joined the U.S. Navy in 1969 and served during the Vietnam War, being honorably discharged in 1975. He returned to Neosho and worked as plant manager at Talbot Wire and then worked for the Diamond School System as a custodian. He enjoyed horses, working on cars and doing mechanical work.

Garry and Irene Aguilar were married in 1984 at Miami, Okla,, and she survives.

Additional survivors include three sons, Mike Pendergraft, Granby; Jeff Pendergraft, Neosho and Chris Pendergraft, Seneca; two brothers, Tony Pendergraft, Neosho and Charles McIlvaine, Carterville; three sisters, Debbie Leake, Joplin; Vicky Sullenger, Joplin and Rhonda Plate, Webb City and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 17, 2018 at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, Dr. Jerry Seigel will officiate. Interment will follow in the Neosho IOOF Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, at the Clark Funeral Home, Neosho.
