Steve Wae Applegate, age 53, of Shell Knob, Missouri, passed away Monday, August 20, 2007 in Cox Medical Center South, Springfield, Missouri.

He was born December 5, 1953 in Claremore, Oklahoma, the son of Billy Wae Applegate and Lillian Josephine (Carter) Applegate.

On August 9, 1990 in Canton, Georgia he was united in marriage to Susan Lea Rosander, who survives. He is also survived by one son, Stevie Wae Applegate of Canton, Georgia; two daughters, Tammy Coker and her husband, Brian of Dahlonega, Georgia and Summer Dawn Donahue and her husband, Christopher of Berryville, Arkansas; his mother, Lillian Josephine Piccinino and her husband, Mike of Canton, Georgia; two brothers, Ricky Cain and his wife, Charlene of St. Louis, Missouri and Billy Wae Applegate, Jr. of Modesto, California; two sisters, Judy Sloan and her husband, Gary of Modesto, California and Marie Bagwell and her husband, Stephen of Canton, Georgia; four grandchildren with one on the way and two great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Steve received his education in Modesto, California. He worked most of his life as a cabinet maker in Alpharetta, Georgia and was also an ordained minister, serving as a youth pastor and in prison ministries. Steve was a fun jokester in the good and the bad times but always there for everyone. His favorite pastimes were fishing, gardening, woodworking and painting. He was an awesome father, loving son, brother and friend as well as a loving, compassionate husband and best friend to Susan.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Thursday, August 23, 2007, in the First Baptist Church, Shell Knob, Missouri under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Shell Knob. Reverend Bob Gaddis will conduct the service. Burial will be in Mikeman Cemetery, Shell Knob...
