Michael E. “Mike” Finney, age 64, of Shell Knob, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2016, in Shell Knob.

He was born on January 10, 1952, in Larned, Kansas, the son of George W. and Mattie Helen Finney.

On December 12, 2005, in Shell Knob, he was united in marriage to Julie (Howard) Finney, who survives.

Also surviving are his mother Helen Finney of Kansas City, Kansas; one daughter, Angela Rivera and her husband Josh of Kansas City, Kansas, one step-daughter, Johnna Rock of Kansas City, Kansas; one brother, Roy Finney and his wife Dawn of Dallas, Texas; one sister, Janet Manderino and her husband Randy of Kansas City, Kansas; six grandchildren, Theron, Aiden, Lilly, Arieanna, Jonathan and Della.

Preceding him in death were his father, one sister and a step-son Mitchell Arp.

Mike graduated high school in Kansas City, Kansas. Thirteen years ago he and Julie moved to Shell Knob, to make their home.

He enjoyed fishing, tinkering in his shop, motorcycle riding, his coop and especially spending time with his family.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday, May 9, 2016, in Shell Knob First Baptist Church, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Shell Knob. Pastor Bob Gaddis will conduct the services.

Burial will be in Mikeman Cemetery, Shell Knob, Missouri.

The family will greet friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Monday in the church...
