BELLA VISTA — Howard Albert Leighton Floyd, 92, of Bella Vista, died April 13, 2007, at Highlands Health Care in Bella Vista.

He was born Dec. 21, 1914, in Tango, Mont. He grew up on the family homestead near Ophiem, Mont.

He was preceded in death by his parents Albert and Norine, brother Ralph, grandson Matt and great-great-grandson Riley.

Survivors include his wife of more than 70 years, Kay; children Barbara and Al and their spouses Don and Joy; five grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren; sister Lois; sister-in-law Betty and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Home with Brother Paul Savage and Brother George Wilkin officiating. Burial will follow on Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the Knob Noster Cemetery in Knob Noster, Mo. Those honoring Howard's life by serving as pallbearers are Mike Hitt, Ryan Hitt, Luke Hitt, Mark Hitt, Matt Hitt, A.J. Adams, Mike Ecceleston, and Scott Harris. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. today at the Funeral Home.
