Gaither - W.H. Gaither d. Sat. Bd Mt. Vernon Cem. In memory of Ham Gaither, d. Apr. 14, 1888. b. Lawrence Co., Feb. 17, 1844, grew up at Mt. Vernon. Entered Union Army 1861, Chief Bugler 24 Mo Vol. Md. Georgie Duncan Aug 31, 1865; to Oakland, CA. 1874 where wife and youngest child were buried. Moved to Mt. Vernon 1884 with 2 children, Gertrude & Harry. Signed: Mrs. E. Gaither, mother, Gertrude, dau., Mance & Percy, bros; Mollie Leathers, Rena Thomas, Felia Millsap, Rose Skinner & Myrtle Bell, daus.
