Miss Ethel Schell Killed When Car
Turns Over In Loose Gravel
--------------

Miss Ethel Schell, eldest daughter of Uncle Jess Schell of the Roller community, was instantly killed Friday afternoon when a pick-up truck in which she was riding with five others up-set on Huckleberry Special three miles east of here.

The car driven by Joe Yousley, skidded in loose gravel, causing the driver to lose control. Miss Schell was thrown from the truck bed where she was riding, into the road just as the truck toppled over on her, killing her instantly.

Among the four others riding in the truck were Uncle Jess Schell, father of the accident victim, Mrs. Marion Schell and her small child. All occupants of the truck suffered slight injuries.

The truck left Pineville only a few minutes when word of the tragedy was brought here. Mr. Schell had attended the county school board convention here during the day.

Immediate relatives include Uncle Jess Schell, father; four brothers, Marion, Virgil, Bethel and Hershel, and one sister, Ella. The mother died about seven years ago.

Services were conducted Saturday afternoon at the home by Rev. Williams. Burial was made Sunday morning in the Roller Cemetery.
