September, 7, 1876 - Northfield, Minnesota
During the civil war he was a member of Quantrill's Raiders and "Bloody Bill" Anderson's guerrillas. He was captured by Union soldiers in the skirmish that killed Anderson. After the war he joined up with the James-Younger Gang robbing banks, trains and stores. He was killed in the disastrous robbery of the First National Bank of Northfield, Minnesota.
