Kennan was attending college at University of Missouri, when the war broke out.
COLUMBIA — The Missouri Statesman Newspaper printed an extra edition, filled with news of the Battle at Wilson’s Creek of Aug. 10. The Statesman reported...Price Kennan, son of farmer Samuel Kennan, was badly wounded in the neck.
