Obituary:

Mrs. Georgia Guinn Coffman, 90, was born June 11, 1921 at the home of her parents, Standley and Ermal Ross in rural Polk County. She attended church every Sunday, fell under conviction and was saved by the grace of God at the age of 16 at the old Mt. Olive Church, and she made sure that she took her children to church where each of them were saved, also. She went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, Oct. 15, 2011.

She married Charles Douglas Coffman and they raised three sons, Charles Douglas Coffman Jr. of Lawrence, Kan., Robert Aulden Coffman of Fair Play and Johnnie Wayne Coffman of Laurie; and one daughter, Sherry Breshears of Blue Springs.

Georgia was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Charles; one brother, Robert Ross and his spouse; two sisters, Alice Shadwick and Opal Smallfield and their spouses; and one daughter-in-law, Mary Coffman.

Georgia is survived by her brother, James Ross of Bolivar; her three sons and two daughters-in-law; her daughter and son-in-law; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She will be remembered most for her strong faith in God and her humming cheek hugs. (greenlawnfuneralhome.com)
